Students learn about chess and compete with each other. They appreciate an intellectual game while gaining strategy and problem solving skills. We meet on Mondays while school is in session from 3:40 PM - 4:30 PM.
Technology projects are teacher facilitated and student led. Our club helps students become more proficient with 21st century technology. We meet after school on Mondays until 4:30 PM.
Book Club is a volunteer after school program that meets biweekly throughout the school year for one hour. Students come together to read, analyze, and discuss varieties of literature. Students deepen critical thinking skills, social interactions and develop meaningful friendships.
The season consists of 8 games plus playoffs, played on Saturdays against the other Constellation middle schools. The season lasts from September through December.
Students perform and promote school spirit at all middle school basketball games, student rallies, assemblies and events.
Concept Science & Engineering Fair (CONSEF)
Students prepare for science programs and competitions. It encourages the appreciation of the importance of science in our daily lives.
Power of the Pen
Power of the Pen is an interscholastic writing competition for 7th and 8th grade students. The competition provides students with the opportunity to develop a creative voice and highlight creative writing skills. They will be able to compete on a district level. Qualifying students will move on to regional and state tournaments respectively.
Students become productive members of society and prepare them with leadership skills. Members plan activities, fundraisers, and school projects.
Students work together to create the yearbook with assistance of staff members. It provides involvement and responsibility for documenting and capturing memories for the year.
